The numbers are ours and trace to published government data. What your AI says about them is your AI's. Check any figure against the file or the online report.
The fingerprint is not the whole check
The tool above proves a PDF or AI Companion file is an edition we published. It does not, by itself, show how the dollars were made. Use the identities below on the same month's public JSON or Companion file. Then read the methodology for table codes and the price-level formula.
Identities you can check from the file
Every national, state, and district record should satisfy:
net = gross - federal_tax - payroll_tax - state_tax
required_costs = net - margin
Use any one of the four margin fields. Required costs differ by housing path. The Companion does not reprint every cost line on each row; the national cost snapshot is in about.costs, and the public JSON at /monthly/report-data.json holds the same published figures.
Working-age Two adults gross income at a geography is twice One adult gross income at that geography. Median household income is not twice One adult.
Same numbers, three doors
District pages, the public JSON, and the AI Companion are the same published month. Nothing on a district page is a second calculation. If a number disagrees, the public JSON is the copy to cite.
Rebuilding from government downloads
Recreating every line from the original agency files takes the open TrueCOLA engine and that month's source-evidence hashes. The methodology names the ACS tables, CPI-U series, BEA 2024 all-items Regional Price Parities, and the ranking rule so an independent check can start. This page is not a substitute for that rebuild.
